‘Rick & Morty’ Season 7 Episode 8 Review: A Numbericonic Adventure with Ice-T

For an episode that does not focus on Rick, Morty or any of the other family members and is essentially a filler episode, it was quite enjoyable.

Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie is a sequel to the ending of the episode “Get Schwifty,” from season 5, which featured the rapper “Ice-T” (voiced by Dan Harmon) who revealed himself to be an alien from another planet.

This time, Ice-T voices himself and I have nothing but admiration for him. The episode is all about Ice-T and he embraces the fun and weirdness of Rick and Morty perfectly. This episode feels like a bizarre and amusing fever dream, and I hope Ice-T returns in the future. He was awesome, and the song he performed was not the best from the series, but it was still cool. My only issue is that two of the side characters were somewhat annoying and could have been written better.

But other than that, I have nothing but praise for Ice-T and the writing team, who are continuing to prove that they are doing fine without Justin Rolland. Also, stay for the post-credit scene as it features another rapper whose name is Ice-themed.
