‘Coyote Vs. Acme’: Why This Film Deserves To Be Seen?

Back in 2019, Dave Green was hired to direct a hybrid live-action movie about Wile E. Coyote titled Coyote Vs. Acme. The movie only began to actually move its engines in early 2022, when John Cena, Will Forte and the rest of the cast began production on the highly anticipated film. Production went from March to May 2022. Following that, the movie had its test screenings, and the scores were high (really high). But since then, we never had an actual release date. And now, Warner Bros. had the idea of scrapping the movie, shelving it because of a tax write off.

This is not the first time this happens, the same thing happened to Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt. This should NEVER be a thing, shelving movies after every one from the crew worked so hard to bring their best work to life. Doesn’t matter if the movie was good or bad, cheap or expensive. If the studio was committed to making this movie, then now they must have to release it. If you’re developing a movie just to scrap it afterwards, then don’t even do it…

The Hollywood Handle had the opportunity to exclusively speak to a background actor who worked on the movie and was immensely frustrated and disappointed that the movie is not expected to be released. The actor says that “the experience on set was amazing.” The actor’s life story follows the tragic lost of his son and mother, who were both huge fans of John Cena and the actor stated that the reason why he joined the cast was to act alongside the popular wrestler. He also says “it’s not all about money.”

We’ve also been told that Dave Green was an amazing director to work with, the cast and crew seemed to have such a great time working on this film. And also “John Cena and Will Forte were pure awesomeness to watch in action as well,” added the actor. It’s sad to see how people that worked hard on this movie will never get to see the result of their work.

The movie follows Coyote suing Acme for the products failing when he tries to catch the roadrunner. The story might be simple yet the heart and soul that was added in this film is massive and we deserve to watch this, and hopefully in the big screen.

We can also confirm that there “are so many different Looney Tunes character cameos that would satisfy Looney tunes fans appetite.” It’s a funny, enjoyable movie for the whole family. From what we’ve been told, “what truly makes this film unique is that it goes back to the old Roger Rabbit type of animation and from all the reviews of people who have seen it, it has plenty of comedy and slapstick humor along with a very touching story.”

It’s also said that “the movie is 100% complete and has been for a little while. After its first shelving, the editor and musical composer were both completely heart broken along with all the cast and crew.” And, to conclude, the actor added: “This film had a deep personal meaning to me and also I felt so horrible for all involved as I was on set for a couple of weeks and just saw how hard they all worked. Film is art and it is deserved to be seen when completed.”

It’s not always about money. Billionaire studios can and must preserve their employees work and give them what it was promised, people work so hard in these movies so they can show to their family and friends, not only for a paycheck by the end of the day.
