Recently, FAN EXPO San Francisco has announced that Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor, will be headlining this year’s convention, which is happening on November 24-26. The convention will be held at Moscone Center West.
In addition to Ewan McGregor, other celebrities joining include Carl Weathers, Peter Weller, Sean Gunn, Jonathan Frakes, James Marsters, and Vivien Lyra Blair (who starred alongside McGregor in Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi).
Furthermore, several popular animation voice actors have also joined the lineup. The lineup includes names such as Tara Strong (Teen Titans), Peter Cullen (Transformers), Richard Horvitz and Brandon Rogers (Helluva Boss) and much more.

This is the second year of FAN EXPO San Francisco, the largest pop culture convention in Northern California. However, with the strikes for better conditions from SAG-AFTRA still occurring, promotion from the stars for their upcoming projects will not be expected as per SAG-AFTRA’s guidelines. This comes after the AMPTP’s silence two days before the strike began despite SAG-AFTRA’s urgency according to Deadline.
With the AMPTP holding out, it is unlikely that SAG-AFTRA members will promote affected projects at upcoming fan conventions like this year’s New York Comic Con in October.
The three-day, family-friendly event brings together fans of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming and cosplay to celebrate the things they love the most. Highlights include celebrity autograph and photo opportunities, cosplay competitions and red carpets, comic sketch duels, along with numerous panels, demos and workshops. Other celebrities, voice actors, creators, cosplayers, authors and more will be announced in the coming weeks.
