We are finally in the week for D23 Expo, so we decided to bring you our ranking for the live actions adaptations Disney released so far (we can’t put Disney’s ‘Pinocchio’ yet since embargo hasn’t lifted). Not all live actions are here, only the ones I personally watched.
17. Dumbo (2019)

A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer.

The romantic tale of a sheltered uptown Cocker Spaniel dog and a streetwise downtown Mutt.
15. Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil (2019)

Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies, and dark new forces at play.
14. Cinderella (2015)

When her father unexpectedly dies, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her scheming stepsisters. Never one to give up hope, Ella’s fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger.
13. 101 Dalmatians (1996)

An evil high-fashion designer plots to steal dalmatian puppies in order to make an extravagant fur coat but creates an extravagant mess instead.
12. Mary Poppins Returns (2018)

In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend, Jack, she helps them rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.
11. The One And Only Ivan (2020)

A gorilla named Ivan tries to piece together his past with the help of an elephant named Ruby as they hatch a plan to escape from captivity.
10. Alice Through The Looking Glass (2016)

Alice is appointed to save her beloved Mad Hatter from deadly grief by travelling back to the past, but this means fatally harming Time himself, the noble clockwork man with the device needed to save the Hatter’s family from the Red Queen.
9. The Lion King (2019)

After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.
8. Beauty And The Beast (2017)

A selfish Prince is cursed to become a monster for the rest of his life, unless he learns to fall in love with a beautiful young woman he keeps prisoner.
7. Pete’s Dragon (2016)

The adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who happens to be a dragon.
6. Christopher Robin (2018)

An adult Christopher Robin, who is now focused on his new life, work, and family, suddenly meets his old friend Winnie the Pooh, who returns to his unforgotten childhood past to help him return to the Hundred Acre Wood and help find Pooh’s lost friends.
5. Cruella (2021)

Estella is a young and clever grifter who’s determined to make a name for herself in the fashion world. She soon meets a pair of thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they build a life for themselves on the streets of London. However, when Estella befriends fashion legend Baroness von Hellman, she embraces her wicked side to become the raucous and revenge-bent Cruella.

3. Alice In Wonderland (2010)

2. Aladdin (2019)

A kind-hearted street urchin Aladdin vies for the love of the beautiful princess Jasmine, the princess of Agrabah. When he finds a magic lamp, he uses the genie’s magic power to make himself a prince in order to marry her. He’s also on a mission to stop the powerful Jafar who plots to steal the magic lamp that could make his deepest wishes come true.
1. Jungle Book (2016)

Living among the wolves in the jungle, young man cub Mowgli quickly learns to live life among his wolf pack and all the animals that inhabit the jungle, but when the villainous tiger Shere Khan threatens Mowgli’s life, black panther Bagheera offers to take Mowgli to a nearby man village where he will be safe from the tiger’s wrath. Along the way, Mowgli gets tangled up in a series of encounters with a sly snake named Kaa, a swimmingly ruthless gigantopithecus named King Louie and a lazy bear named Baloo, who quickly becomes his guide to the ‘bear necessities’ of life.
