Marvel Hall H Presentation Recap At San Diego Comic Con, Including Footage Descriptions

Marvel had their Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic Con last night, and although no new projects were announced, the last announcement definitely set the internet ablaze.

After skipping the event in 2023, Marvel Studios is back for another year of exclusive footage, announcements and more at San Diego Comic Con’s Hall H. Here’s a recap of everything that was shown and revealed during the panel:

Deadpool & Wolverine

The panel started off with a live performance of “Like a pray” by Madonna. The song is featured in Deadpool & Wolverine , which is now playing in theaters.

The film is already nearing $500M at the global box office from its opening weekend only, becoming the biggest opener for an R-rated film ever.

Captain America: Brave New World

It was announced that Captain America: Brave New World will be a return to the grounded aspects of The Winter Soldier, which is one of the most acclaimed Marvel Studios’ films to date.

Tim Blake Nelson talks about his return as The Leader in the film: “It’s been 16 years, tell us about him now” “I can’t say much. No spoilers, I want them to bring me back.”

Giancarlo Esposito is announced as Sidewinder, The King of the Serpent Society.

A clip of the film is shown to attendees which includes: Harrison Ford’s Thunderbolt Ross talking about the Celestials + Celestials being made out of Adamantium + full look at Red Hulk.

Thunderbolts*

David Harbour appears in full costume as The Red Guardian, a total different look than from the one we seen and know from Black Widow.

Florence Pugh talks about the team dynamic of the Thunderbolts: “That’s the joy of watching them together is that they don’t play well together.”

A clip of the film is shown exclusively to attendees which the description includes: Yelena visiting Red Guardian’s apartment + Yelena telling Red Guardian that the only reason she lives is to kill others + Ghost is shown in a new costume + All the Thunderbolts are assigned to the same job but it’s a set up.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Surprising everyone at Hall H, the title for the film has changed and is now set to be The Fantastic Four First Steps.

Filming is officially set to take off this Tuesday.

The film is confirmed to be set in a retro future of the 60s.

A sizzle reel is shown to attendees which gives first look at Galactus.

The Fantastic Four cast is announced to appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, which are confirmed to release in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

Avengers: Doomsday And Avengers: Secret Wars

Following the Kang decision, Avengers 5 officially gets a new title: Avengers: Doomsday. And the huge news of the night is: Robert Downey Jr. is announced as Doctor Doom.

The Russo Brothers are officially set to return to the MCU as directors for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Releasing in theaters in May 2026 and May 2027, respectively.
