We have now arrived at the final panel of the day and of CinemaCon. Disney was here to showcase an upcoming look at their 2024 films which include Deadpool and Wolverine, Moana 2, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and much more!
Deadpool and Wolverine PSA Video
The Disney panel opened up today with a pre-recording of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in costume as their respective characters, walking down a hallway talking about Secret Wars before a phone rings interrupting them, causing Wolverine to break the fourth wall and telling the audience to turn off their phones while constantly swearing at them. Here’s the full dialogue for the PSA video:

Deadpool: So, I haerd Secret Wars is finlly gonna introduce….”
*A PHONE RINGS*
Wolverine pushes Deadpool out of the frame and looks straight into the camera: “Hey, bub! You’re in a movie theater, turn off your fucking phone!”
He keeps cursing at the audience for their phones going off.
Deadpool hops back into frame. Hearing him talk that way made his “dick vibrate.” He concludes, “Nice fourth wall break, didn’t think ya had it in ya!”

Disney’s 2024 Theatrical Slate
Disney showcased their 2024 theatrical slate which included the following films:
- Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes – May 10
- Young Woman and the Sea – May 31
- Inside Out 2 – June 14
- Kinds of Kindness – June 21
- Deadpool and Wolverine – July 26
- Alien: Romulus – August 16
- A Real Pain – October 18

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
First up is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes which was announced to be the first film in the franchise which will be released in IMAX. 13 minutes of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was shown to us which introduced us to the young ape Noa (Owen Teague) who has to avenge his village and father after Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand) attacks the village.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes releases in theaters on May 10.
Young Woman and the Sea
Next up is Young Woman and the Sea which stars Daisy Ridley and follows the true story of Gertrude Ederle. We were provided with the first trailer for Young Woman and the Sea which you can also watch at home. Watch the trailer below.

Inside Out 2
Amy Poehler, the voice of Joy has arrived on stage to showcase the first 35 minutes of the film which featured Riley at a Hockey game, playing for a team called the Foghorns. We get reintroduced to the five emotions from the first film, Joy, Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale) and Disgust (Liza Lapira), as Riley goes through many emotions during her competitive game.
Inside Out 2 releases in Theaters on June 14.
Marvel Studios
The Fantastic Four
Kevin Feige took to the stage to talk about the upcoming film, The Fantastic Four, and revealed that it would be getting filmed completely in IMAX.
The Fantastic Four releases in theaters on July 25, 2025.
Thunderbolts*
It was also revealed that Thunderbolts* would also be kept in mind for IMAX theaters. The new title was also revealed which has now changed from Thunderbolts to Thunderbolts*. Kevin Feige said that we won’t know what the asterisk means until after the film’s release.

Captain America: Brave New World
Anthony Mackie took to the stage with Kevin Feige to talk about his upcoming film Captain America: Brand New World. The film has been described as a “Grounded Political Thriller”. A clip was showcased which featured tons of action and a conversation between Thunderbolt Ross and Sam Wilson, enquiring that he wants the Avengers to return but Sam disagrees, turning it into an argument.
Captain America: Brave New World releases in theaters on February 14, 2025.
Deadpool and Wolverine
Shawn Levy took to the stage to provide a nine-minute first look at his upcoming film Deadpool and Wolverine which showcased Wade, retired as Deadpool and separated from Vanessa, we then cut to his Birthday party where he celebrates with all his friends before he’s taken by the TVA who task with with saving the Sacred Timeline against a looming threat.
Deadpool and Wolverine will release in theaters on July 26.
Alien: Romulus
The focus is now all on the next installment in the Alien franchise, Alien Romulus which is set between Alien and Aliens. Two clips were shown which showcased practical face-huggers and a chest-buster which caused a bloody spaceship crash.
Alien: Romulus releases in theaters on August 16.

Kinds of Kindness
The next Yorgos Lanthimos movie was brought up at the Disney panel where they showcased the first trailer for Kinds of Kindness. You can watch the already-released teaser below.
Kinds of Kindness releases in theaters on July 21.
The Amateur
The Amateur which was announced earlier this month got a logo reveal at today’s panel and is about a CIA cryptographer, who manages to blackmail his agency into training him to let him go after a group of terroists who killed his wife in London. The first trailer was also shown in addition.
The Amateur releases in theaters on April 11, 2025.
Ella McCay
James L. Brooks returns to direct his first film in fourteen years and today they were able to announce that it would be releasing next year. No extra details were shared.
Mufasa: The Lion King
Director Barry Jenkins took to the stage to showcase his upcoming film Mufasa: The Lion King. Jenkins acknowledged that directing this film was a strange decision but it is one that ended up being the best of his life. Mufasa: The Lion King will also feature all-new songs but Barry Jenkins wasn’t able to reveal who’s developing them. Jenkins was also able to reveal that a lot of the same production team for Moonlight also worked on Mufasa: The Lion King. A teaser was also shown which featured Rafiki narrating and showing various exotic landscapes of Africa while showcasing Mufasa alongside some memorable faces like Timon.
Mufasa: The Lion King releases in theaters on December 20.
Moana 2
To end off the Disney Panel, dancers came onto the stage to perform as Dwayne Johnson came onto the stage to talk about his upcoming film Moana 2. Dwayne Johnson talked about how Maui was inspired by his grandfather and how it connects to him personally. The first teaser for Moana 2 featured Moana singing a brand new song about returning home.
Moana 2 releases in theaters on November 27.
