Earlier today, Dimension 20 released a new trailer for their next upcoming event, The Ravening War, with Critical Role’s celebrated dungeon master, Matt Mercer, taking the helm as game master for Dimension 20’s Brennan Lee Mulligan.
The event will see Mulligan taking a player’s seat with regulars Lou Wilson and Zac Oyama as well as Ms. Marvel‘s Anjali Bhimani and Dimension 20/Critical Role guest Aabria Iyengar. Previously, Mulligan had hosted Critical Role’s prequel event miniseries, Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, last summer, while Iyengar had also served as a guest dungeon master.
Taking place years before the events of A Crown of Candy, The Ravening War serves as a prequel to that season. The campaign takes place in the world of Calorum, a wild, fantastical world based around the food groups that everyone should get to know by now. The event’s cast of characters includes Anjali Bhimani as Lady Amangeaux, Aabria Iyengar’s Karna, Brennan Lee Mulligan’s Bishop Raphaniel Charlock, Lou Wilson’s Delissandro and Zac Oyama’s Colin Provolone.
Outside of The Ravening War, Mercer continues to serve as the dungeon master for Critical Role’s third campaign, Bell’s Hells. The campaign currently streams on Twitch with episodes streaming every Thursday night.
