DC League Of Super-Pets Review: A Soulless Ride

1 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 30 Second

DC League of Super-Pets follows the dog Krypto (voiced by Dwayne Johnson), who fights crime in Metropolis alongside his owner, Superman (John Krasinski).

When Superman is captured by the villainous Lulu (Kate McKinnon), Krypto must assemble a team consisting of the dog Ace (Kevin Hart), the turtle Merton (Natasha Lyonne), the sow PB (Vanessa Bayer), and the chipmunk Chip (Diego Luna). DC League of Super-Pets is a very mediocre film that has childish and bad humor. The film has a more superficial plot existing with a predictable and silly story. The film has the simplest possible script that explains something at the beginning of the film that in the end of the film ignores everything that was proposed!

The film has a pretty standard animation, something that any studio like Nickelodeon, or even a smaller studio, could produce. The film has a boring second act where you already know what will happen in the conclusion. It also has an unnecessary duration of 1 hour and 46 minutes that makes you want to sleep because of how generic and uncreative the film is. DC League of Super-Pets is a fun movie for kids, nothing more than that, with a villain without any motivation who is simply a villain to help drive the plot along. Of course the movie has an explanation of why such a character is the villain but it’s something so run-of-the-mill it makes you upset!

DC League of Super-Pets for me was a disappointment and a very simple film considering the potential it had Of course, when you see that the movie is something for children, you automatically have to change your way of seeing the movie, but even so I couldn’t like DC League of Super-Pets.
